Environment Management System: ISO 14001:2015

Southern Cross Cleaning (SCC) understands that there is no way around the use of chemicals and consumables in the cleaning industry. We understand the importance of resourcing environmentally sustainable products and procedures that do not harm the environment, without compromising our high-quality service.

SCC implements an environmental management system (EMS) based on ISO 14001:2015 which reduces energy usage, contributes to environmental sustainability and saves money. We are committed to ensuring due diligence is applied in the provision of services and managing work activities are consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development.

All staff at SCC must be inducted and trained at the beginning of their employment to ensure they are obeying our environmental policies and procedures. We will continually work to identify and minimise environmental risk within all our operations and, wherever practicable, eliminate adverse environmental impacts to protect the local and global environment.”

In realising this Vision, SCC has prioritised the need to embrace a philosophy of change in its business, capability in its people, and its responsibilities to its clients and in the communities it serves.

This philosophy also defines SCC approach to sustainability. While we acknowledge that sustainable practice has diverse meanings for our different business functions, SCC recognises that sustainability is primarily about change – what is done, how it is done, influencing behaviour, and ultimately protecting the environment.
